Swedish direct marketing beauty products company Oriflame has announced that it will host India’s biggest-ever fashion show, in New Delhi on February 9, with a guest list of around 10,000 people.

“We are going to host the biggest fashion show on February 9 in New Delhi with an audience of around 10,000 people. It will be by renowned fashion designer Rohit Bal,” says Oriflame India marketing director Sharmili Rajput.

The event will mark the 15th year of the company’s existence in India and will witness participation by Oriflame’s consultants and direct selling executives across the country. Speaking about the company, Rajput says Oriflame’s India business has registered 30-40% compounded annual growth over the past few years inspite of the global slowdown.

“We are going to introduce some 350 products this year. The current product basket is 650 products, but some of the existing products will be phased out to keep pace with the latest trends,” Rajput says.

Oriflame claims it is the leader in the direct marketing beauty segment in the country.

The East and North-East region contribute around 40 per cent of Oriflame’s sales in India, says Erik Stenback, senior area manager for the Eastern Region.
